Netherlands publishes final squad list for Euro 2024

Coach Ronald Koeman released, this Wednesday, the final list of players called up to defend the Netherlands at Euro 2024, in Germany. Four athletes were cut from the provisional list announced on the 16th.

Goalkeeper Nick Olij (Sparta Rotterdam), full-back Ian Maatsen (Borussia Dortmund) and midfielders Quinten Timber (Feyenoord) and Marten de Roon (Atalanta) were the players cut by the coach from the provisional list.

Liverpool, from England, is the team with the most representatives in the Dutch national team, with three athletes: defender Virgil Van Dijk, midfielder Ryan Gravenberch and striker Cody Gakpo. In addition to them, the Dutch team has highlights Matthijs de Ligt (Bayern Munich), Jeremie Frimpong (Bayer Leverkusen), Frenkie de Jong (Barcelona) and Memphis Depay (Atlético de Madrid).

The Netherlands is part of Euro group D, along with Austria, France and Poland. The debut in the competition takes place on June 16th, at 10 am (Brasília time), against the Poles, at the Veltins Arena.

Following the preparation, the Dutch team still plays two friendlies before the start of the tournament, when they will face Canada (06/06) and Iceland (10/06).
