Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the first player to be the league’s top scorer in four different countries

With two goals scored in Al-Nassr’s 4-2 victory over Al-Ittihad last Monday, Cristiano Ronaldo confirmed the top scorer in the Saudi League and became the first player in history to achieve the feat in four different countries.

“Proud to make history and become the first top scorer in four different countries. Many thanks to all the clubs, teammates and staff who helped me along the way”, celebrated the player on his social networks.

Ronaldo’s first goalscorer came in the 2007/2008 season, when he scored 31 goals for Manchester United in the English Championship. In Spain, playing for Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo was the Spanish Championship’s top scorer on four occasions, 2011/2012 (40 goals), 2013/2014 (31 goals) and 2014/2015 (48 goals).

Wearing the Juventus shirt, the Portuguese managed to be the Italian’s top scorer in the 2020/2021 season, with 29 goals scored. Finally, he is the top scorer in the Saudi Championship, for Al-Nassr, breaking the record for goals in a single edition of the tournament, with 35 balls in the net.
