Tadej Pogacar, winner of the 2024 Giro d’Italia

Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates) has won the 2024 Giro d’Italia. The Slovenian was the best by far in the three weeks that the race lasted. Pogacar has achieved six stage victories.
Daniel Felipe Martínez (BORA-hansgrohe) was second in the general classification and Geraint Thomas (INEOS-Grenadiers) third. Pogacar was 9 minutes and 56 seconds ahead of Martínez and 10 minutes and 24 seconds ahead of Thomas.
The last stage, the 21st, had a flat route of 125 kilometers with beginning and end in Rome. The victory has been decided in the sprint and the winner was Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step). Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) crossed the finish line in second position and Kaden Groves (Alpecin-Deceuninck) was third.
