โToday it is with great emotion that I address you. I spent eight exceptional seasons by your side. From day one I fell in love with this city, this club, the people and the fans. Nice will be my family forever. My children grew up here, we will be โNissartsโ for the rest of our lives. We live in extraordinary times, very difficult times. But you were always with us. This year again you were exceptional… And it was together that we conquered Europe. It’s time to say goodbye. I love you forever. We will meet again next season, at the Allianz Riviera, all together, to have a great season, once again. Bayeta, I love you!โ, said Dante, in the video published by Nice no X.
Dante has been at Nice for almost eight years, since August 2016. At the French club, the Brazilian defender played 282 games and scored 11 goals. Born in Salvador, Bahia, the 40-year-old player has been in Europe since 2004, when he transferred from Juventude to Losc Lille, in France.
Dante has played for several clubs on the European continent, but it was at Bayern Munich that he reached his peak. The Brazilian stayed with the German team for three years and played 133 games. In the Brazilian team, Dante was champion of the now-defunct Confederations Cup in 2013, in addition to having played in the 2014 World Cup held in Brazil.
