The British magazine FourFourTwo elected Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo as the best European player in history. The publication has a list of 100 names, which includes legends who have already hung up their boots, such as Beckenbauer, Zidane and Cruyff.
In addition to breaking several individual records and winning five Ballon d’Ors, Cristiano Ronaldo was a great winner for the clubs he played for. In his career, he has five Champions Leagues, four Club World Cups and several national titles. He also won the 2016 Euro Cup with the Portuguese team.

Among the 100 names on the list, only 11 are still active: Andrés Iniesta (5th), Luka Modric (18th), Manuel Neuer (23rd), Sergio Busquets (24th), Sergio Ramos (27th), De Bruyne (35th), Mbappé (69th), Lewandowski (90th), Harry Kane (95th), Haaland (98th) and Toni Kroos (100th). The latter announced that he will retire after Euro 2024.
Mazzola, a Brazilian who became a naturalized Italian, was also present in the ranking, appearing in 56th position.
