Latvian national team goalkeeper Kristers Gudlevskis lost seven kilograms during the match of the sixth round of the group round of the World Cup against the Slovak national team. Journalist Ulvis Brozhe wrote about this on his page on the social network X.

Latvian head coach Harijs Vitolins confirmed the information. He stated that this was the first time he had encountered something like this.
