A veteran of global organizations – including the largest one – Gleison Tibau (36-15) recently had the opportunity to talk to Sherdog.com, where he spoke in superlatives about the current owner of two KSW belts (20-3). As he believes – his strength exceeds other players, including those from the very top of the American giant.
– His strength is not normal. The only player I had to deal with with a similar force was, but he used it for wrestling or throwing. In the case of Roberto, we are talking about the strength of the blow. I’ve trained with Colby Covington, Robbie Lawler and many other top UFC fighters before, but I’ve never felt anything like this. Every time I exercise with him, I need two days to recover, Tibau said.
According to the Brazilian, in the contract between “Robocop” with KSW there is only one more duel, after which – if he does not receive any very interesting offer – he should go to the global tycoon.
“Soldić has one more fight in and if KSW doesn’t make a great offer to extend his contract, he has to move to the UFC,” Tibau said.
“His strength is abnormal”
Mamed Khalidov (35-8-2) has recently learned painfully about the end of stand-up exchanges with the Croatian representative. After one of his blows, he fell to the mat and was unable to recover for a long time. What is even worse, an operation was required because he experienced numerous fractures of the facial skeleton. Tibau is sure that anyone who tries to fight him will end the same way.
– I told him that relatively few people watch KSW in the United States. If you go into the UFC, you’ll shock the world. Any man who gets into a stand-up trade with you will fall. His strength is abnormal, he said.
At the moment, of course, it is not known who will be the next opponent of Soldic under the KSW banner. The divisions in which he holds the belts, however, are quite well-manned, so it will certainly be possible to create some interesting combination for fans. After the fight with Khalidov, the Croatian expressed his readiness to fight Tomasz Narkun, the light heavyweight champion.
