The Belarusian authorities continue to harass the independent media. This time the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic declared extremist the Internet resources of the “enemy voice” – radio station “Liberty” (in Russia, Radio Liberty is recognized as a media-foreign agent).
As specified in the message of the security department, “a group of citizens united through the Internet resources of Radio Liberty was recognized as an extremist formation. Thus, the radio site, its YouTube and Telegram channels, as well as social media accounts were included in the blacklists.
Immediately after that, it became known about the arrest of one of the RS journalists. According to the human rights center Viasna, unregistered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the matter concerns Oleg Gruzdilovich.
Human rights activists learned that a media employee is being prosecuted. Gruzdilovich is charged with article 342 of the Criminal Code “organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them.” The essence of the suspicion against the journalist was not disclosed.
