Valery Nichushkin from Colorado was removed from the list of top NHL scorers

Suspended Russian Colorado Avalanche hockey player Valery Nichushkin was removed from the list of top scorers and snipers in the official application of the National Hockey League (NHL). Sport 24 writes about this.

During the current Stanley Cup, Nichushkin repeated the NHL record, scoring points in seven consecutive games from the start of the playoffs. The Russian also single-handedly topped the list of snipers with eight goals, but then failed a doping test and was suspended for at least six months without pay.

The NHL and the League Players Association announced that Nichushkin has been transferred to the third stage of a program to help players with addictions of various types. For the Colorado forward, this is already the second time he has entered the assistance program this season.

Previously, Nichushkin applied for help in January 2024. “My task is to solve my problems and prevent any negative consequences once and for all. I want to thank my wife, family, friends, organization and all the fans for their understanding and support,” noted Nichushkin.
