Footballer Murza: received a Russian passport and did not refuse a Ukrainian one
Football player from Ukraine Arthur Murza spoke about receiving a Russian passport. His words are quoted by Sport24.
Murza shared that he began to deal with the issue of obtaining Russian citizenship before moving to Austria in the summer of 2023. “But I wrote an application for football citizenship already this winter, without even understanding whether it would be possible to leave Austria,” he noted.
The footballer emphasized that he did not refuse his Ukrainian passport. “They have no right to deprive me of citizenship. Only if they do everything according to some new rules. There’s nothing I can do about it,” Murza emphasized.
23-year-old Murza was born in Volnovakha (DPR). After the start of the SVO, he played in the Kazakh Kyzyl-Zhar and Aksu, the Latvian Valmiera, and the Austrian Kapfenberg. Since March 2024, the footballer has been playing for the Russian “Murom” from the Second League.
