The head of Gazprom Miller promised to leave Zenit players without bonuses
The head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, promised to leave the St. Petersburg Zenit players without bonuses for unsatisfactory results. Journalist Kirill Legkov spoke about the consequences of the conversation in his Telegram channel.
“The bonuses there are decent. Up to 300 thousand at the end of the season. Depending on everyone’s contribution to the overall achievements,” he shared the details. The journalist added that Miller had a difficult conversation with head coach Sergei Semak, who was warned of the threat of dismissal for his disastrous finish in the Russian Premier League (RPL).
On May 11, Zenit lost to CSKA Moscow in the RPL match. The meeting took place in St. Petersburg and ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the guests. After the match, Miller headed to the blue-white-blue locker room.
After 28 matches, Zenit lost its leadership in the RPL, occupying second place with 51 points. Dynamo Moscow moved to first place with 53 points.
