This Friday, Everton withdrew the appeal it had lodged against the two-point deduction imposed by the Premier League for violating financial rules.
“Everton Football Club has withdrawn its appeal against the Premier League Independent Commission’s decision to impose a two-point deduction on the club for breaching Premier League profitability and sustainability rules for the accounting period ending June 2023,” they said the “Toffees” in a statement.

The traditional Liverpool club currently occupies 15th place in the table, with 37 points, and has already guaranteed its place in the elite of English football next season.
The team led by coach Sean Dyche had suffered another deduction of 10 points in this championship, but it ended up being reduced to six points in February, following an appeal.
