Bredewold wins the first stage and takes on the Itzulia leader’s jersey

Mischa Bredewold (SD Works) claimed victory in the first stage of the Itzulia Women 2024 and he put on the leader’s jersey. The Dutchwoman was the best in the sprint that decided the winner of the stage.
The cyclists faced a 140-kilometer route starting in Vitoria-Gasteiz and ending in Elgoibar. The protagonists of the day were Stine Dale (Coop Repsol) and Valentina Cavallar (Arkea-B&B Hotels Women). Both led the stage for several kilometers and had advantages of one minute and a minute and a half over the peloton.
