Europa League finalist, Leverkusen could win 2 titles in 3 days in May

Bayer Leverkusen qualified for the Europa League final by draw a draw (2-2) at home in stoppage time this Thursday (9) against Roma in the second leg of the semi-finals, and will face Atalanta, in the final in Dublin, Ireland.

In the Bundesliga, Leverkusen is already the mathematical champion, ending Bayern Munich’s eleven-year reign and managing to win the national tournament for the first time in its history. This month of May could, by the way, bring two titles in the space of three days.

The first could come in the Europa League final, on May 22nd. On the 25th, there will be a duel against Kaiserlautern (from the 2nd division), in the final of the German Cup.

There are now 49 unbeaten games for Bayer Leverkusen, counting all competitions. All of the season: 32 in the Bundesliga, 5 in the German Cup and 12 in the Europa League.

The spectacular balance is now 40 wins and 9 draws.

In the German Championship, Bayer Leverkusen has two games to play, the first of which is this weekend against Bochum. If they don’t lose in any of them, they will be the first team to win the Bundesliga without losing a game.
