With two titles in 4 months, Beraldo celebrates streak and dreams big at PSG

The 3-3 draw with Le Havre on Saturday (27), in the 31st round of the Ligue 1, postponed PSG’s celebration by one day, which only confirmed its 12th French title this Sunday (28), when second-place Monaco was defeated by Lyon. The victory of the Parisians reinforces the good start of Brazilian defender Beraldo in Europe.

In just 4 months at the new club, the former São Paulo player has already won two titles, an unprecedented call-up to the Brazilian national team and is still looking forward to the Champions League semi-finals, this coming Wednesday, against Borussia Dortmund.

“I couldn’t ask for a better start. Being champion twice in such a short space of time is a great feeling”, summed up the 20-year-old Brazilian. The duel against the Germans is eagerly awaited: “Of course we celebrate this achievement, but it is inevitable that our minds are already focused on the Champions League, which is our big dream”, commented the player.

Announced by the French club on January 1st, Beraldo made his debut just two days later,
in the final of the French Super Cup, and, right away, he lifted his first trophy for the new team. Since then, he has been a constant presence in the team: of the 24 games that PSG played during the period, the defender was on the field in 19, starting 17 times and scoring two goals.

“I knew I had to take advantage of the chances, so I prepared myself very physically and mentally to
match. Professor Luis Enrique and the cast have given me a lot of confidence and I have
I’m sure this is just the beginning,” said Beraldo.

If in 2023 the young player was one of the protagonists of the unprecedented victory of the Copa do Brasil, for
São Paulo, now he wants to break yet another taboo by helping the French club win their first Champions League. And Beraldo’s goals for a perfect semester don’t stop there. In May, Paris Saint-Germain will face Lyon in the French Cup final, and in June, coach Dorival Junior will announce the Brazilian squad’s call-up for the Copa América.

“I live one dream at a time. I want to enjoy every moment and thus prepare myself for each new step I take. I’m really happy with everything I’m experiencing this semester, but the biggest goals are undoubtedly those that are yet to come and that’s what I’m focused on”, concluded Beraldo.
