She called this asana basic and also noted that it promotes the development of several qualities. “The first one is balance. In addition, the tree pose teaches concentration and is aimed at achieving both external and internal balance,” Butova noted.

She added that tree pose strengthens the leg muscles, including the inner thighs and hamstrings. “It also has a beneficial effect on the nervous system. Teaches patience and concentration, gives a feeling of strength and self-confidence,” said the coach.

Earlier, yoga instructor Alexandra Churkina spoke about the benefits of the downward-facing dog pose. The specialist explained that this asana improves blood supply to the brain due to blood flow to the head, stimulates the digestive tract, stretches the back of the thigh and improves the mobility of the shoulder girdle.
