Former Corinthians, Tévez feels chest pain and is admitted to hospital in Argentina

Argentine football idol and current coach of Independiente, Carlos Tévez had a big scare last Tuesday night. According to a statement from his club, the former player felt pain in his chest and had to be admitted to a hospital in San Isidro.

It was also reported that Tévez underwent some tests and the results were “satisfactory”. As a precaution, the Argentine will remain hospitalized this Wednesday to undergo further tests.

This is not the first scare the coach has suffered in recent times. In October 2023, he felt dizzy when he was at home, lost his balance and hit his head on the sink. As a result, Tévez had a concussion and had to be taken to a hospital.

The professional took over the technical command of Independiente in August 2023 and was a key player in saving the team from relegation. In the current edition of the Argentine League Cup, the team was in sixth place in Group A, with 23 points won, and did not advance to the quarter-finals.

At 40 years old, the Argentine only worked for two clubs as a coach, Independiente itself and Rosario Central. When he was a player, he played for Corinthians, Boca Juniors, Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, among others.
