The Queen’s Park Ladies girls team won the boys’ tournament in England.
The Queen’s Park Ladies team, made up of girls under 12 years of age, won the children’s tournament, which included boys’ teams. Sky Sports reports this.
The competition took place in Bournemouth, in addition to Queen’s Park Ladies, and 11 men’s teams took part. In 22 meetings, the girls won 18 victories, drew four matches and did not suffer a single defeat. The tournament winners scored 61 goals and conceded 11 goals.
As a result, Queens Park Ladies secured their victory in the tournament ahead of schedule. The advantage over the closest pursuer was 16 points.
In February, the head coach of the Dynamo women’s club from Moscow, Sergei Lavrentyev, called out an annoying stereotype about women’s football. The specialist doesn’t like the fact that fans send female athletes to cook in the kitchen, believing that football is a man’s activity.
