Before Piotr Rubik became the most popular conductor in Poland, he tried his hand at being a presenter. In the 1990s, his program on computer games on Polsat enjoyed huge viewership and interest, especially among young people.

is a renowned Polish conductor, composer and vocalist. He has been educated since childhood, attending music schools and playing various instruments. After obtaining a diploma from the Academy of Music in Warsaw, he joined the Jeunesses Musicales International orchestra as a concertmaster. Then he developed his career in film music composition, taking part in numerous courses conducted by the world-famous Italian composer Ennio Morricone.

Rubik’s artistic achievements include as many as 13 studio albums, most of which have achieved triple or double platinum, as well as diamond or gold status. His most popular songs include “Let them say it’s not love”, “A Psalm for You” and “White Snow and You”, which, despite the passage of time, still enjoy unflagging interest among listeners. In addition, he produced albums by many renowned artists, such as Michał Bajor and Georgina Tarasiuk, and even composed songs for many of them. He is the author of the songs “Dotyk” by Edyta Górniak and “Dove Vai”, which promoted the film adaptation.

Few people know that before Rubik took up music for good, he tried his hand at being a presenter, which he mentioned during the 30th anniversary gala. – I hosted a program about computer games. It was called “Multimedialny Odlot” and despite the early hour, crowds of people watched it. Then another high began when the whole of Poland started clapping at 6/8 – . How did it end up on TV?

It all started with the fact that games were his great passion, which he devoted himself to in his free time. In an interview, he revealed that his good friend Jacek Wajs knew this very well. Shortly thereafter, when he proposed to the station to produce a format on this topic, he offered Rubik the role of host. He accepted it without a second thought and made his screen debut in 1997, creating a duet with Monika Bral.

In each episode, he not only presented news from the world of games and various innovations, but also organized competitions in which viewers could win codes for various extensions, CDs and interesting gadgets, including consoles. Although “Multimedialny Odlot” had crowds of loyal fans and the viewership increased during its broadcast hours, it finally disappeared from the air after a year. The reason was the lack of sponsors and, therefore, funds for the next series. – He couldn’t stand the confrontation with financial reality. Back then, the electronic entertainment market was completely different. Piracy was rampant, most foreign companies did not invest in Poland because it was not profitable for them, Rubik explained in an interview.
