Rubin coach Rakhimov was suspended for two matches for offensive behavior
The Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (KDK RFU) disqualified the head coach of Rubin Kazan, Rashid Rakhimov, for two matches of the national championship. This was announced by the Chairman of the CDC, Artur Grigoryants, whose words are reported by Match TV.
Rakhimov was suspended for insulting behavior towards an opponent. “The probationary period is one year. A fine of 50 thousand rubles was also imposed,” Grigoryants said. He added that one match is subject to a real punishment, and the second is a suspended one.
At the meeting, Rakhimov apologized and said that such behavior was not typical for him. “He is not a repeat offender, he did not have any direct red cards. We took this into account as a positive characteristic,” Grigoryants noted.
On April 14, Rubin lost away to Krylya Sovetov in the 24th round match with a score of 2:0. During the break, Rakhimov was sent off for suggesting a fight to Samara coach Sergei Bulatov.
