Stanisław Górka played the role of Zbyszek Sroka in the series “Plebania” for years. Viewers loved the actor as a charming church boy who was very committed to his tasks. The artist also won the sympathy of his colleagues. “I met with several friendly actors after working hours to learn dialogues together. This incredible mutual mobilization lasted for quite a long time,” he said in an interview with Interia.

Stanisław Górka was born in 1954 in Garwolin, at the age of 23 he graduated from the Acting Department of the State Drama School in Warsaw and made his debut on the stage in the same year. From the beginning of his career until 2005, he was associated with the Warsaw Contemporary Theater. In 1979, Górka began lecturing at the State Theater School in Warsaw. In the early 1990s, the actor signed his name with the Pod Górką Theater Society, of which he was the leader.

In addition to acting in theatre, films and TV series, Górka is also a producer and director – he made his debut in this role in 1994 with an oratorio for TVP “Bliscy i oddaleni”. However, the actor is best known for his series roles. In recent years, he played the role of Witold Budrewicz in “Colors of Happiness”, and previously he played in “Plebania” for about a decade. He also did not shy away from episodic appearances in popular productions such as “Magda M” or “Miodowe lata”.

However, Stanisław Górka was not sure that he would become an actor. He thought about becoming a priest for many years, but after many years he does not regret changing his mind. “I think it’s good that I didn’t become a priest. I fully realize myself as an actor. Of course, faith is very important to me,” said the actor in an interview with Aleteia.

Górka emphasizes that faith helped him find love. “The day after returning from this pilgrimage, on August 16, I met a beautiful woman who became my wife. I am convinced that it was the work of Our Lady,” the actor recalls the pilgrimage to Jasna Góra.
