So things are, at Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund, Atlético Madrid has not been able to maintain the 2-1 they achieved last week at the Cívitas Metropolitano. It has been a game full of alternatives. In the first half, Borussia Dortmund took a 2-0 lead, with goals from Brandt, in the 34th minute, and from Maatsen, in the 39th, but, after the break, with Hummels’ own goal, in the minute 49, and with the one achieved by Correa in the 64th minute, the Madrid team has once again taken the lead in the tie. In the final stretch, Fullkrug and Sabitzer, in the 71st and 74th minutes, gave the German squad the pass.

In parallel, and in a match that has been, like the one in Dortmund, full of goals and emotion, FC Barcelona has scored 1-0 against Paris Saint-Germain, andat the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, in the 12th minute, through Raphinha. With that goal, the Catalan team extended the advantage of a goal they scored in the first leg (the Paris match ended 2-3), but, in the 30th minute, Araújo was sent off, and that has been key in the resolution of the eliminatory. Paris Saint-Germain made it 1-1 in the 40th minute, through Dembélé, and in the second half the Parisian team scored three more goals: Vitinha, in the 54th minute, Mbappé, from a penalty, in the 61st minute, and Mbappé himself, in the 89th minute, sealed the score.

In this way, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain will open their semi-final in Germany, and the second leg will be played in France. This Wednesday, Manchester City and Real Madrid and Bayern Munich and Arsenal will face each other to determine the two teams classified for the second semi-final of this Champions League.
