Giro: Sporting thrashes Gil Vicente and increases the gap on the Portuguese leader

This Friday, the Sporting defeated Gil Vicente 4-0. The match was valid for the 29th round of the Portuguese Championship, at the Estádio Cidade de Barcelos. Now, the team increases the gap to seven points in relation to second-placed Benfica, who are still playing in this round.

With the victory, Sporting reaches 74 points, leading the national tournament. Gil Vicente, faced with the setback, remains in 14th place, with 28 units.

Sporting opened the scoring just seven minutes into the first half. Trincão received it from behind the opponent’s defense and finished with a cross. Four minutes later, at 11, with Diomande.
