After injury, Ederson could be available for Manchester City’s next duel

Goalkeeper Ederson suffered an injury to the rectus femoris muscle in his right leg at the beginning of March and has been missing for Manchester City in recent games. Despite this, coach Pep Guardiola revealed that the Brazilian could be available for the next duel, against Crystal Palace.

“Ederson is much better and maybe he’s on the list [de relacionados]”, said Guardiola at a press conference this Friday.

The injury to the Brazilian goalkeeper occurred in the duel against Liverpool. He had to be replaced at the beginning of the second half after clashing heavily with striker Darwin Nuñez. Ederson tried to recover a bad pass from his teammate and ended up dividing and committing a penalty to the Uruguayan.

Ederson still had to be cut from the list of the Brazilian team, which played friendlies against England and Spain. Léo Jardim, from Vasco, was called in his place.

Guardiola also confirmed that Nathan Aké and Kyle Walker “are out” of the clash, both due to injury. Regarding Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne, the coach revealed that he still had doubts because of the short period since the last match.

Crystal Palace and Manchester City face each other this Saturday, at 8:30 am (Brasília time), at Selhurst Park, in a game valid for the 32nd round of the English Championship.
