Arteta updates Gabriel Martinelli and Saka’s medical situations

Arsenal managed a great draw against Manchester City last Sunday. In this game, the team cannot count on two undisputed starters: Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. In a press conference this Tuesday, coach Mikel Arteta provided medical updates on the attackers and spoke about the possibility of them being on the field in the next duel.

“He [Saka] he is well. Obviously we didn’t train, we recovered and we have a small activity today to prepare for the game. We’ll see if he’s in the best condition to be a starter or not,” he said.

“Martinelli is [podendo jogar 90 minutos] because he was available to play against a very difficult opponent three days ago. Once again, we will train today, see the state of each player and make the right decision tomorrow,” he said.

Martinelli has been absent from the London team since March 4, when he left the game against Sheffield United feeling pain in his foot. Saka, in turn, didn’t just play for Arsenal against City. He suffered a knee injury and was cut from the England squad at the last FIFA date.

Arsenal takes to the field this Tuesday, at 3:30 pm (Brasília time), against Luton Town, at Emirates Stadium, for the 31st round of the English Championship.
