Avangard defeated Lokomotiv with a score of 3:2 and tied the score in the KHL playoff series
Yaroslavl Lokomotiv lost to Avangard Omsk in the sixth match of the second round of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs. The results are available on the tournament website.
The meeting took place in Yaroslavl and ended in victory for the guests with a score of 3:2. Among the winners, forwards Igor Martynov and Nikolai Prokhorkin, as well as defenseman Semyon Chistyakov scored goals. Lokomotiv’s goals were scored by defender Martin Gernat and forward Maxim Shalunov.
Thus, Avangard equalized the series score – 3-3. The series will last until four victories. The next match between the teams will take place in Omsk. It will take place on March 30th.
In the first round of the playoffs, Lokomotiv knocked out the current winner of the Gagarin Cup, CSKA Moscow. Avangard turned out to be stronger than Lada from Tolyatti.
