Milei shows the “aggressions” she has received from Gustavo Petro and López Obrador

The Argentine president, Javier Mileijustified this Thursday his offensive expressions against his Colombian counterparts, Gustavo Petro, and Mexican, Andrés Manuel López Obradoron the CNN en Español channel, for the “aggressions” he previously received from them.

”Here are some things he told me. [Gustavo] Petro” and “some of AMLO’s many attacks” are the two messages with which Milei led this Thursday on his X account the publication of journalistic notes that show that the Colombian had compared him to Hitler and the Mexican had described him as “ultra conservative faco.”

A new exchange of offenses began this week, which led to the Government of Colombia ordering this Wednesday the expulsion of diplomats from the Argentine embassy in Bogotá.

Milei called Petro a “terrorist murderer” and “ignorant” AMLO in an interview with the American channel CNN en Español, which will be broadcast on Sunday, but of which the channel released a preview on Wednesday.

The Argentine president responded like this when asked about the criticism towards him expressed by his Mexican counterpart and by the ruling party’s candidate in the next Mexican elections, Claudia Scheinbaum.

CNN published a preview of the interview with Milei on its website, where it also assures – although it did not share that video fragment – that in a section of the report the libertarian leader, who took over the Argentine Government last December, said about Petro, that “You can’t expect much from someone who was a terrorist murderer.”

The Colombian Foreign Ministry assured in a statement published this Thursday that the Government of Colombia “repudiates statements made by Mr. Javier Milei, president of Argentina (…) in which he expresses himself in a degrading manner against the first president of the Colombians, the respected Mr. Gustavo Petro.”

”This is not the first time that Mr. Milei offends the Colombian president, affecting the historical relations of brotherhood between Colombia and Argentina,” recalls the Colombian Foreign Ministry, and that all these expressions “have deteriorated the trust” of Colombia, in addition to “offending the dignity” of Petro, pointing out that “he was elected democratically.”

Milei, leader of the far-right party La Libertad Avanza, has already expressed harsh criticism of López Obrador and Petro in the past, with whom he is at odds due to their ideological thinking.
