Arsenal striker Bukayo Saka was cut from the England squad this Thursday due to an unspecified injury and will not be in the next few days’ friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.
“Bukayo Saka has left the England camp and returned to his club to begin his recovery,” the English Football Association (FA) explained in a statement.
“There will be no substitute and the squad of 25 players will continue their preparation for the friendlies against Brazil and Belgium”, adds the note.
Bukayo Saka has left the #ThreeLions camp and returned to his club for continued rehabilitation on an injury he reported to St. George’s Park with.

Before leaving the delegation, Saka was doing physical work in the gym, following an individualized exercise program, as were Harry Kane, Cole Palmer and Jordan Henderson.
The game against Brazil will be on Saturday, at Wembley Stadium, in London. Three days later, the English will face Belgium, in the same location.
The two friendlies will be England’s last tests before coach Gareth Southgate announces the squad for the European Championship, from June 14 to July 14.
