Tutberidze demanded an apology from Tarasova for doping allegations against Valieva
Honored Trainer of Russia Eteri Tutberidze on Instagram (the social network is prohibited in the Russian Federation; belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned) turned to Tatyana Tarasova because of words about figure skater Kamila Valieva’s doping.
Tutberidze demanded an official apology from Tarasova. “This is already deliberate slander and false accusations. Apparently, the boundaries of what is permitted have been completely lost. You can’t blame everything on age,” she said.
Earlier, Tarasova named the person responsible for the discovery of doping in Valieva. The specialist emphasized that only the coach could give the pill to the athlete.
On January 29, Valieva was disqualified for four years. The period of suspension is counted from the moment the sample was taken in which the prohibited trimetazidine was found – December 25, 2021.
