All four pairs of the 1/4 finals of the Gagarin Cup have been determined
All pairs of teams that will play in the quarter finals of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs have been determined. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
In the series, which starts on March 16, Dynamo Moscow will play with Traktor Chelyabinsk, and Avangard Omsk will compete with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.
Two more episodes will begin on March 17. Metallurg Magnitogorsk will play with Spartak Moscow, and SKA St. Petersburg will meet with Avtomobilist from Yekaterinburg.
Since this season, cross-playoffs have been introduced for the first time in the Gagarin Cup. Starting from the second stage, clubs from the Western Conference meet teams from the Eastern Conference. The current title holder is CSKA Moscow; the team was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs this season.
