Referee Fedotov criticized the refereeing in the RPL match between Spartak and Fakel
Former referee Igor Fedotov criticized the refereeing in the match of the 20th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) between Spartak Moscow and Fakel Voronezh. His words are quoted by “Championship”.
Fedotov said that the chief referee of the match, Artem Lyubimov, mistakenly did not award a penalty against the red and white team in the 34th minute. “The referee was in an ideal position, looking exactly at the point where he needed to,” he emphasized.
On March 10, in the match of the 20th round of the RPL, Spartak was defeated by Fakel. The meeting ended with a score of 0:2. After this, Muscovites captain Georgy Dzhikia apologized to the fans for the result of the meeting.
The Moscow club has 31 points and ranks sixth in the Russian Championship standings. St. Petersburg Zenit is in the lead with 40 points.
