On Thursday, Jarosław Kowalczyk sat opposite Hubert Urbański: mathematician, programmer, political scientist and traveler from Wleń. The participant managed to get through the first 9 questions using two lifelines. However, for the amount of PLN 250,000, it turned out to be quite tricky. It concerned butterfly caterpillars.
A trick question about caterpillars in “Millionaires”
The question worth a quarter of a million zlotys was:
Butterfly caterpillars before they become butterflies:
- A: They can live up to 4 years
- B: they only eat plants
- C: have the form of imago
- D: they only live in colonies
The participant still had two lifelines: a question to the audience and a call to a friend. However, he started by eliminating incorrect answers. Knowing that the imago is the final stage of the butterfly, he rejected the answer “C”. Later, things got a bit more complicated and Mr. Jarosław considered calling his friend. Waiting on the other side was Santa Claus, who, according to the participant, had once played for the main prize in “Millionaires”.
Ultimately, the player decided to rely on his own intuition, which told him that the correct answer would be option “A”. A moment later, Hubert Urbański announced that Mr. Jarosław was right and he managed to get PLN 250,000. The participant continued the game, but finished it with the next question for half a million zlotys. His task was to finish the words of Jonasz Kofta: “I would sail somewhere on an elegant pond. Blues minus, I feel sad. I guess.”
