Russian forward Kuznetsov was given a plunger after a home game for Carolina
Russian forward Evgeny Kuznetsov was given a plunger after his first home game for the Carolina Hurricanes in the regular season of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team published a video of the moment of presenting the gift on social networks X.
In post-match footage from the locker room, team head coach Rod Brindamore handed Kuznetsov a T-shirt and a plunger. The Russian accepted the gift with a laugh to the cheers of his teammates.
The team noted that they could not explain what was happening. Fans in the comments came to the conclusion that this was a reference to one of Kuznetsov’s interviews. Then the Russian said that Carolina wanted him to be in the club not as a plumber, but as himself.
Kuznetsov was traded from the Washington Capitals on March 8. He played two matches for Carolina without scoring any goals.
