The head of World Athletic Coe on holding the “Olympics on steroids”: bullshit
World Athletics President Sebastian Coe summed up the idea of an “Olympics on steroids” in one sentence. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“Bullshit,” said the head of World Athletics. Coe added that he was not impressed by the idea and that from an athletics philosophical point of view such athletes should be banned for life.
Earlier, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) spoke about the possible holding of the “Olympics on steroids”. In a joint statement, they opposed holding such competitions and considered them hazardous to health.
In early February, American billionaire and PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel decided to hold the “Olympics on steroids.” At the tournament, athletes will be allowed to use any substances to improve their results.
