Kooij wins the fifth stage of the UAE Tour in the sprint and Vine continues to lead

Olav Kooij (Visma-Lease a Bike) won the fifth stage of the UAE Touron Friday, February 23, after winning the sprint, and Jay Vine (UAE Emirates) retained the leader’s jersey of the career.
The stage victory was decided by the sprint and In the final meters the best was the Dutchman Kooij. Tim Merlier (Soudal-Quick Step) was second and Sam Welsford (BORA-hansgrohe) third.
After the fifth stage, the general classification is still led by Jay Vinewhich toadvantage in 11 seconds to Ben O’Connor (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale) and at 13 Brandon McNulty (UAE Emirates). The Basque Pello Bilbao (Bahrain-Victorious) is fifth, 22 seconds behind the leader.
