Olympic Games champion Vasiliev spoke about the longing of foreigners for Russians at tournaments
Two-time Olympic champion in biathlon Dmitry Vasiliev said that foreigners miss Russians at international tournaments. His words are quoted by Sport Express.
“Many foreign experts tell me that they miss Russian athletes and there is clearly not enough of them. Especially from the point of view of the liquidity of medals won at the world championships,” Vasiliev said.
The former biathlete also said that Russian sport is necessary on the international stage. “After some time, everything will return to normal,” he emphasized.
Earlier, the President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), Elena Vyalbe, shared her opinion on the attitude of foreigners towards Russian tournaments. In her opinion, foreigners watch Russian competitions and are jealous.
