Fitness trainer Alena Averyanova recommended an effective exercise for the muscles of the legs and buttocks. Her words are quoted by the magazine “Around the World”.

The specialist recommended doing Bulgarian lunges (split squats). “This exercise uses a large number of joint stabilizer muscles, which improves overall body coordination,” she explained.

Starting position: Place one foot on a stationary platform, leave your working leg in front, keep your back in a neutral position. Most of the load (80 percent) should fall on the working leg. Next, slowly squat, moving your pelvis back, while maintaining a right angle between your foot and shin. The knee of the raised leg should move down and back. After you reach a right angle between the thigh and shin of the working leg, return to the starting position.
