Tarasova called figure skater Vasiliev a bastard who condemned the admission of Russians to the Olympic Games
Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova responded to Latvian figure skater Denis Vasiliev, who condemned the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to admit Russian athletes to the 2024 Summer Games. Her words are quoted by Match TV.
The specialist called Vasiliev a scoundrel. “We knew for a long time what kind of person he was,” Tarasova added.
Vasiliev spoke about the admission of Russians on January 10. According to the athlete, at the moment this is not the right time. “Personally, I cannot say with all my heart: everything is fine, let’s skate together again,” the skater noted.
On December 8, the IOC announced the admission of Russians and Belarusians to the Games in Paris. They will be able to take part in the tournament as individual neutral athletes. At the same time, athletes who support a special operation in Ukraine, as well as those who have connections with the armed forces or security agencies of Russia and Belarus, will not be allowed to participate in the competition.
