“Now Daria is being treated for her injury, her recovery is taking place in accordance with medical recommendations,” Kogan explained.
He added that he does not know if the athlete will take part in any competitions before the end of the season. “We wish the skater a speedy recovery and return to the ice,” concluded Kogan.
Usacheva, who trains in the group of Eteri Tutberidze, was injured during a warm-up at the Grand Prix stage in Japan. She fell while performing a jump. The doctor of the Russian national team carried her out of the ice in his arms.
Earlier it was reported that another athlete of the group, Alena Kostornaya, will not perform at the national championship. The reigning European champion broke her wrist, she is forbidden to train.
The Russian Championship will be held from 23 to 26 December. Based on its results, the composition of the national team for the European Championship will be formed.
