Two-time Olympic basketball champion American Candice Parker on Instagram revealed the pregnancy of her wife, Russian basketball player Anna Petrakova.
Parker congratulated Petrakova on her wedding anniversary and added that they are now expecting a baby. “We have always dreamed of adding to our family,” the athlete wrote. She stressed that she is glad that her daughter Layla will become an older sister.
“You have no idea how beautiful you are! Glowing, realizing that I have to love, kiss and talk to your belly, I can’t wait to start this next chapter in our life together! ” – added the athlete.
Parker won the Olympic Games in 2008 and 2012. In addition, she has two victories in the Women’s National Basketball Association (2016, 2021). Petrakova is a four-time champion of Russia with the Yekaterinburg UMMC (2013, 2014, 2016, 2017), winner of the 2013 Euroleague and winner of the 2012 FIBA European Cup. The couple has been married since 2019.
