McGregor’s coach reveals the secret to transforming a fighter after injury

Coach Alejandro Seldran has revealed the secret behind the transformation of the Irish mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Conor McGregor, who managed to gain 15 kilograms in six months after the injury. This is reported by AS.

McGregor, 33, combined exercise with a strict diet of six meals of a protein-rich meal. Seldran noted that the Irishman consumed 180 grams of protein a day. Each meal was structured according to the formula: 40 percent protein, 30 percent vegetables, and 30 percent carbohydrates. The fighter ate eggs, fish, chicken, and also drank protein shakes.

Diet and exercise allowed McGregor to reach the 86 kilogram mark. Thus, the Irishman can compete in the welterweight and middleweight categories.

Magkregor is best known for his performances in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). In July, he was injured in a duel with Dustin Poirier. McGregor’s return is expected in the spring of 2022.

McGregor became the UFC champion in two weight classes.
