Kostomarov showed his first training on ice on skates after prosthetics
Olympic figure skating champion Roman Kostomarov took to the ice on skates for the first time. He spoke about this on Telegram
Kostomarov showed how he trains in prosthetics at the skating rink. In the footage, he performs “flashlights”, learns to accelerate and brake. “And I said that I would stand on the ice!” – noted the athlete.
Earlier, Kostomarov said that children now call him PapaRobot-3000. “My son asked: is it possible to make your head rotate another 360 degrees,” he added.
Kostomarov was hospitalized on January 10 with pneumonia and influenza B. Due to prolonged connection to a blood oxygenation machine and a ventilator, his tissue began to die. Doctors amputated both feet of the skater, then the shins of both legs, the entire hand of his right hand and several fingers of his left. Later, he was fitted with prosthetic legs and right arm.
