Chapped lips are quite a common problem. In such cases, we are dealing with micro-injuries (micro-cracks). This is mainly due to exposure to frost and wind. For this reason, many people experience this problem in winter and autumn. Other causes of this problem include B vitamin deficiencies, dehydration and the use of inappropriate cosmetics.
Vitamin A for lips – how to use?
One of the best preparations that can help with this problem is an ointment with vitamin A. It is available in most pharmacies, and its price usually does not exceed PLN 10. We recommend rubbing it into your lips just before going to bed. However, during the day we can apply thin layers of aloe gel on our lips. This product contains strongly moisturizing substances. It will therefore be a good complement to this home treatment.
Chapped lips in winter – what can we do?
We also cannot forget about lip peelings. We do them 2-3 times a week. Such treatments will not only smooth the lips, but also improve their blood supply. Moreover, they will act preventively. You can find many ready-made cosmetics of this type in drugstores. We can also prepare them ourselves. Here are two simple recipes:
Laneige lip mask and its cheap substitute
One of the most frequently recommended cosmetics for chapped lips is the night mask from the Korean brand Laneige. The cosmetic perfectly moisturizes dry and cracked lips.
