did not take part in the Sunday competition in Klingenthal. Our jumper complained about a strong sinusitis, which excluded him from the competition. The regret was even greater that the day before Stoch took 3rd place, which was his first podium finish this season.
On Monday, Aleksander Winiarski, a doctor of the Polish team of jumpers, referred to Stoch’s health in the new Sport.pl Live program. – I saw Kamil on Monday, I examined him. He does have sinusitis, but the symptoms aren’t as severe as they were on Sunday or Saturday, he said.
More health problems in the Polish team
And he added: – With such a headache and a stuffy nose, his performance on Sunday made no sense. Besides, he is an older athlete and has to think about the most important competitions, not individual jumps. Kamil got medication, I think it will be fine in a few days. He will most likely go to Engelberg.
Winiarski also revealed that other jumpers had health problems. It is about Dawid Kubacki and Tomasz Pilch, who did not jump in Klingenthal. The first was at the Ramsau camp and the second was at the Continental Cup competition in Vikersund.
– Kubacki has problems similar to Stoch’s. It is true that his symptoms are not that strong, but he also complains of headaches and a runny nose. So far, we only talked on the phone. Tomasz Pilch also has similar problems. At the beginning of this season we have a lot of health problems – revealed Winiarski.
The next World Cup competition in Engelberg. Individual competitions will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
