This is the third installment of the film from the Harry Potter universe, the action of which takes place several decades before the teenager’s fight with Lord Voldemort.

Mads Mikkelsen for Johnny Depp – see what he looks like in the first trailer

What will the story focus on? Albus Dumbledore (played by Jude Law) knows perfectly well that the wizard Gellert Grindewald is striving to take over the wizarding world and is already very close to it. Few are powerful enough to stop him – one of the few who could do this is Dumbledore himself. However, due to a spell from years ago, he cannot fight a dangerous opponent. So he asks for help from his former student, Newt Skammander. It is he and his friends who embark on a dangerous mission, during which they encounter not only yet undiscovered magical creatures – they also have to face the growing crowd of acolytes of the dark and dangerous Grindewald. The stakes are so high that Dumbledore must quickly do something to return to the front – we read in the official production description.

The second part of Grindewald was played by Johnny Depp, who last year officially left the team behind the series “Fantastic Beasts” after a British court ruled on defamation in favor of the British newspaper “The Sun” (in one of the articles the actor was called “and” female boxer “on marriage and divorce from Amber Heard). The producers quickly found a replacement – the villain is now Mads Mikkelsen (“Casino Royale”, “Shit”).

Not all are fans of this change – Depp is known to have a lot of fans. Some people write outright that he is “their” Grinewald.

They also point out that the trailer caused a huge increase in searches for Depp, which is supposed to prove that this actor is the production force and should not be fired.

The same characters as in the two previous films will be played by Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Jude Law and Ezra Miller. The film will be directed by David Yates, who has had his hands on many films about a teenage wizard, and the script is the responsibility of JK Rowling herself, who collaborated with screenwriter Scott Rowles.
