Russian from Columbus Marchenko got into a fight with a partner from Latvia during training
Russian Columbus Blue Jackets forward Kirill Marchenko got into a fight with Latvian teammate Elvis Merzlikin during training. About this on social network X (formerly Twitter) reported by journalist Brian Hedger.
According to the source, the Russian tripped over his partner’s stick and fell on the ice, after which she began to make claims against him. A scuffle ensued, and Marchenko was pulled aside by another Russian from the National Hockey League (NHL) club, Dmitry Voronkov.
Hedger emphasized that Merzlikin later apologized to Marchenko. This ended the conflict between the players.
