The National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) verified the delivery of payment receipts at Roger Waters’ last concert at the National Stadium. Thus, in total S/403,253 was collected from the sale of drinks, food and merchandising. The record corresponds to the controls carried out in 36 points of sale of beverages, belonging to 6 different taxpayers.
In detail, the category of cocktails and beers rrecorded the highest income (S/288,553), followed by merchandising (S/50,080)hamburgers, choripanes and sodas (S/48,277), waffles (S/6,513), electronic cigarettes (S/ 4,134), energy drinks (S/3,704) and cremoladas (S/1,992).
The Sunat had a team of 22 auditing notaries, who verified the correct registration in the R.U.C. and the issuance of payment vouchers for the establishments. In this sense, the Initial Verification of Compliance with Tax Obligations (known as VICOT) and ticketing controls were carried out, which allow obtaining a projection of the total sales made during the concert and the income that taxpayers must declare.
The entity reminds citizens that it is important for concert attendees to request proof of payment because, in this way, it is guaranteed that taxpayers declare all the income obtained and pay the taxes that correspond to them.
