“Manchester United can confirm that after positive PCR tests for covid in the cast and coaching staff, we have made the decision to suspend the core team’s activities at Carrington’s CT, to minimize the risk of new infections. Individuals who tested positive are isolated, following Premier League protocols,” announced the English club.

Manchester United also informed that it is discussing with the league the postponement of the game against Brentford, scheduled for this Tuesday, at 16:30 (GMT). The team’s trip to London will not take place until the end of the discussion.
“Given the cancellation of training and problems with the squad, and with the health of the players and coaching staff as a priority, the club is discussing with the Premier League whether it is safe to continue to the game against Brentford on Tuesday, regarding the prospect of the covid and the preparation of the players. The trip to London will be postponed until the end of this discussion”, informed the Red Devils.
Manchester United currently ranks fifth in the Premier League with 27 points. In the Champions League, Ralf Rangnick’s team will face Atletico Madrid in the round of 16.
