Alexander Kerzhakov left the post of head coach of Serbian Spartak
Russian Alexander Kerzhakov left the post of head coach of Serbian Spartak. This was reported on Instagram (social network is banned in Russia; owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) teams.
The parties made a mutual decision to terminate the contract. Spartak President Nikola Simovic thanked Kerzhakov for his cooperation and drew attention to the crisis from which the team was never able to get out.
On October 17, Kerzhakov advised Russian football players to leave the Russian Premier League (RPL). He considered that this was absolutely correct for the development of players, citing the example of Alexander Golovin from Monaco.
Kerzhakov is a three-time Russian champion with Zenit. After retiring in 2017, he coached the Russian youth team, as well as the clubs Tom, Nizhny Novgorod and the Cypriot Karmiotissa, which he left two months after starting work.
