Medvedev became the first in the Forbes personal brands ranking among Russian athletes
Tennis player Daniil Medvedev topped the Forbes personal brands rating among Russian athletes. The list of athletes is presented on the publication’s website.
In second place in terms of personal brand value was Alexandra Trusova, vice-champion of the 2022 Olympic Games in figure skating competitions. The top three was rounded out by Russian forward and captain of the National Hockey League (NHL) Washington Capitals, Alexander Ovechkin.
It is noted that the rating included only active athletes. In addition, those who changed their sports citizenship before September 1, 2023 were not added to the list.
Ovechkin tops the Forbes ranking among the highest paid NHL players. According to the publication, in the 2022/2023 season, Ovechkin received a total of $17.5 million, excluding taxes and agent fees.
